EXTENDED SURGERY APPOINTMENTS: are available on Monday's from 6.30 pm - 7.10pm and is covered by a doctor and the Practice Nurse.

These timings would give opportunities for provision of care for people who work or students and cannot attend in normal working hours.

Protected Learning Time (PLT)

The surgery closes one afternoon, either on Tuesday or Wednesday, per month for protected learning. This is to keep all staff up to date, to enable them to provide a better service for patients. Details of these dates are on the notice board in reception . During PLT, please contact NHS Emergency and urgent care services (for less than 999 emergency) 111 or dial 999 for acute emergencies.


If you are confronted by a serious problem such as acute chest pain or severe bleeding, call an ambulance (tel: 999) before calling the surgery. The doctors at the surgery do emergency visits on a rota basis during normal surgery hours. At night and weekends a deputising service is available. For health advice you can call NHS 111.

Accident & Emergency

The nearest Accident & Emergency department open 24 hours is the Manor Hospital, Walsall or SDGM. Patients who think they may require x-rays or stitches as a result of an injury should go directly to a hospital.

Minor Injuries

These can be seen at Cannock Community Hospital during the following times only:

Saturday, Sunday, Bank Holidays 9.00am - 10.30pm
